General Austin “Scott” Miller is a retired four-star General and former Commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, with 38 years of distinguished U.S. Army service. He is a combat-proven leader who commanded at every level—from assault forces in the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu (“Black Hawk Down”), to the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence, to Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC).

His decorations include the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts, two Combat Infantryman Badges, and an unprecedented 20 Overseas Service Bars, representing more than 10 full years in combat zones. A Distinguished Graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Miller is also a U.S. Army Ranger Hall of Fame inductee and recipient of the CIA Memorial Foundation’s Richard M. Passionately committed to veterans, first responders, and intelligence professionals who carry the invisible wounds of service, he is honored to lend his voice as an Ambassador for Shields and Stripes and TF-7294—bringing hope, healing, and renewed purpose to those who served and their families.
